Aerogel sample from the Materials Library

A new addition to Penn Libraries, the Materials Library, located on the ground floor of the Fisher Fine Arts Library, has a wildly eclectic and unique collection of physical materials – pigments, textures, aerogels, vanta black, lava tiles, and much much more. The items at the Materials Library are meant to be seen and touched and provide a perfect hands-on experience for interdisciplinary thinkers and learners.

The Penn Libraries is hosting a tour of the Materials Library on Monday October 29th from 3:30pm to 5pm for Penn Health-Tech, Medical Device Club, and anyone interested in medical device development and healthcare innovation.
