Joyce Angelucci, Biomedical & Dental Libraries Intern
Joyce Angelucci is a Penn alum both academically and professionally: she holds an undergraduate degree from Wharton in Business Administration and was once the Syllabus Coordinator for Academic Programs in the Perelman School of Medicine. Currently, the last step in completing her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University is to complete an internship, and we are thrilled that she is doing so at the Penn Libraries, assisting the Penn health sciences community with their information needs.
At the Biomedical Library, Joyce’s primary responsibility is to support patrons with literature searches or information questions, either in-person during a consultation or via e-mail using our LibAnswers service. She has also contributed to projects such as assisting Frank Campbell, Medical Education Liaison, in developing our new LibGuide for Health Sciences Teaching Faculty.
Her focus at the Dental Library is working on special projects in collaboration with the Head Librarian, Laurel Graham, such as locating dental images to use in library promotions.
In addition to health sciences librarianship, Joyce is interested in researching emerging library trends in the first-year experience of students.
