The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) now offers an institutional remote-access feature that provides more flexible access to the Penn Libraries’ NEJM.org institutional site license: any time access is needed, anywhere beyond the physical library or Penn IP range, and with any device.
How does it work? While you are logged in to the Penn Libraries network with your PennKey, create a free personal account at NEJM.org. Your remote access will then be authenticated for a period of 60 days. After the 60 days, simply log in again from within the Penn Libraries network to reactivate your remote access.
Regardless of the device used, access to NEJM.org resources and features will be available outside of our IP range, provided you are signed in to your NEJM.org account. Your remote access status is easily monitored from the My Account tab on NEJM.org.
Please let us know how you like this new feature by contacting Melanie Cedrone at mcedrone@upenn.edu or Barbara Cavanaugh at bbc@upenn.edu
