The Biomedical Library has recently purchased AccessSurgery, a portal-like resource that supplies surgery-related e-books, case studies, reference material, board review quizzes, images, an integrated drug database, and procedure videos and animations. AccessSurgery joins our other McGraw-Hill products: AccessMedicine and AccessAnesthesiology.
Designed for residents and fellows in surgery as well as for medical student clerkships, the resource can be used by anyone interested in surgical care. Some of the e-book titles that are available in AccessSurgery are: Schwartz’s Principles of Surgery, Maingot’s Abdominal Operations, Zollinger’s Atlas of Surgical Operations, and the Johns Hopkins Textbook of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
AccessSurgery can also be used to study for the boards and allows users to generate quizzes from multiple review titles such as ABSITE Slayer and Surgery: Pre-Test Self-Assessment and Review.
AccessSurgery is optimized for viewing on any mobile device.
Please share you feedback with us regarding AccessSurgery by contacting Melanie Cedrone (mcedrone@upenn.edu) or Barbara Cavanaugh (bbc@upenn.edu).
