Check out the following virtual events this September:

Penn Libraries, Alpha Iota Gamma (Penn’s first and only professional healthcare fraternity) and Synapse (Penn’s undergraduate student-run medical magazine) to host a Virtual Lunch-Time Conversation with Alpha on Wednesday September 9th from 12pm to 1pm about the responsibility of health sciences students during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this event, you will also have the opportunity to meet Penn Libraries staff.
In addition, Penn Libraries is partnering with the Penn Engineering Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Weingarten Learning Resources Center, and Penn Design Architectural Archives to host Write, Research, and Innovate at Penn, a campus resources orientation program for incoming engineering students on two different dates and times in mid-September.
Aman Kaur, the Community Health & Engineering Librarian is offering Virtual Engineering Librarian Office Hours on select Fridays from 11am to 1pm on Zoom.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Aman is unable host “Lunch with a Librarian” at the University Club or the 1920s Commons Dining Hall this year. As an alternative, you are welcome to attend Virtual Engineering Librarian Office Hours as your lunch break.
In collaboration with Campus Health and New Student Orientation & Academic Initiatives, Penn Libraries hosted a Wellness Wednesday: Virtual Mindfulness Workshop last week. 128 students, staff, and faculty attended. Due to the high demand for virtual meditations, the three organizations are collaborating again for 2 more virtual meditations this semester. In the meantime, please check out the recording from last week’s session.
