Featured 3D Print: Battery-door replacement part

Printed in draft resin on a Form2 printer

Vitale Digital Media Lab Assistant Sarah Chan approached the Digital Fabrication Lab with an interesting inquiry: can we 3D print a door clip replacement for their Zoom Field Recorders. The devices are dependent on the clip as they will not power on if the battery door is open. Sarah found the STL file on MyMiniFactory (an online repository for 3D files). The designer had printed the clip in PLA however we believed the clip would preform much better printed at a higher resolution on our SLA printers. Below are the results!
