In the Wendy & Wayne Holman Reading Room at the Biotech Commons
Registration is available here!
In her first book, A Molecule Away from Madness: Tales of the Hijacked Brain, Dr. Sara Manning Peskin offers compelling stories of patients afflicted with mysterious and devastating neurological conditions, delves into medical history, anatomy, and genetics to cast light on them, and recounts how physicians and scientists had to defy skepticism of their peers and commonly-held understanding to solve these mysteries and bring relief to suffering patients and families.

Dr. Peskin is assistant professor of clinical neurology at the University of Pennsylvania and a physician researcher at the Penn Memory Center.
Join us at 2:00pm on April 21st in the recently renovated Biotech Commons as Dr. Manning Peskin talks about her new book; dialogue and conversation are welcome. The Biotech Commons Biomeditations Book Talks are informal presentations to the broad Penn community by faculty and staff authors.
